America What the heck happened

America Whats happening to our country. It gets so depressing to watch the news and see every thing going on and i am not talking about just the crazy murdering scum terrorist as if that not bad enough i am talking about the citizens of this great nation. watching the news and see collage kids disrespecting the flag and our country's veteran it makes me wonder what the heck they are teaching these kids but what is even more scary is that these sorry brats are going to be running the country if things don't change  just like now the pot heads and lsd freaks are running things now. the more i see these collage kids doing things like this the more i think a collage education should  disqualified them for public office i sure don't want these moron running any thing i am near. i mean look at what we have now with Obama and the Clinton's. a president that wont call a Muslim terrorist a terrorist and a want to be president that is find with what happened in Benghazi and selling uranium to the Russians which you know that's going to end up in Iran so we will end up making the bombs for Iran. where has all the common sense gone. we need to fix the education system in this country and get rid of all those liberal professors and the lawyers in schools and government and get back to teaching or young to think for themselves and not being told what or how to think. these schools and collage kids need to be outed so that every real American knows what schools are producing this kind of un-American beliefs and know not to fund are support these schools It may be considered free speech to disrespect the flag but spiting on veterans in my opinion is assault and the should be prosecuted. Its time we get back to what made this country great back to basic we need to bring God back in our lives and our country and quite giving in to every group that don't like God are guns are the American way 

Tips

Just a little helpful tip for you do it yourselfers out there if you find yourself working alone and need to lay the roof off use roofing nails nailed in at the marks to hold your chalk line it takes a little while to get every like but it will be worth the time when you get done and have a nice straight roof

Windy

Its been fairly windy lately and that's has keep me a little busy catching up on wind damage repairs if you have aluminum ridge vent  make sure its still nailed down tight the aluminium ridge vent is really bad for working loose and if it goes off you will have a large hole across the top of your roof that would be like a funnel in a rain storm also check of loose and missing shingles if one is broke off this is also a place that could start taking water. you may also want to check you gutters to be sure they are not clogged this could also cause water to back up and cause leaks and wood damage.

Shingling Your Ranch Style Home

Introduction

Hello my name is Keith Golliday and I am a roofer. I have been roofing for 30 plus years and still doing it today. To give you a little background information on my history of roofing, my dad started a roofing company in 1968 when I was 16. I quit school and started working with him full-time. It is a very hard job and at times it can be a very rewarding job. My dad will always be a roofer, but he retired in 2005 when he was 70 years old. I don’t think I will be able to do it until I reach 70 years old. In this book I am going to go over what I was taught and I hope will help you do your roofing projects. In this book we will go over basic instructions for a simple ranch style home. I will give you step by step instructions and pictures, starting with the tools you will need, to estimating the squares, to removing and installing the new roof.

Bad flashing

This photo show way it is important to check your flashing and have it done properly. you want to get those small leaks fixed because it don't take long for a cheap reseal to turn in to a expensive re flash job

Flashing chimneys

When flashing your chimney make sure you seal the corners as you run your step flashing. if you forget a corner your probably going to have a leak. Make your step flashing 8"x7" and break it to be 3" up the chimney and 4" out on the roof and you want a piece of flashing on every shingle to insure that you have the best protection. don't use one straight piece of flashing the water could run back under your roof and cause leaks 

Spring is here !!!!!

Spring has finally arrived time to check around and make a list of all those projects that's been waiting all winter. also look at your roof for loose or missing shingles, get the vent pipes check for dry cracks and cuts in the gasket also check the chimney flashing that the seal is still doing its job along with the corners of the chimney.

when installing your dimeninsal shingles make sure you step your shingles so the pattern comes out right and also don't go more then 2 runs of felt to help prevent shading.for more roofing tips and other home maintenance check back often and we can all learn together have a question please ask
